Default Talk about a rush

Thought this was an interesting little read on yahoo.

Duck! Thrill-seeking people are heading to a beach on the Caribbean island of St. Maarten, where Boeing 747s fly so low that they darken the skies. A perfect and unique way to start your day in St. Maarten, without coffee.

I was actually there 2 years ago and it is pretty wild to get that close!!!!! The flight into St Barts is even wilder. They have to divebomb into the runway because the approach is into the top of a mountain!!!!!

The travel channel did a show on that airport and others . The big thing is what is called, surfing the fence.
You grab hold of that chainlink fence behind the sign in the first pic when a jet is departing and hang on! The blast will pick you up off your feet and send you flying if you let go of the fence.

I saw that Bob. People were wearing motorcycle helmets with faceshields to protect their eyes from flying debris Might have done it 30 years ago. I'd bet those pilots are 'biting holes' in their Fruit of the Looms...
