Default Yeah, I went. Here's the Report

With everyone grousing about the poor condition of the water on the beach, I was a little apprehensive but decided to go with my gut and go anyway. Got the yak on the water about 6:30, peddled out with a 8-10mph ENE wind at my back. Water was still pretty murky. Only had about 8" visibility. I saw some bait jumping and tossed the topwater at them but nothing would even look at it. After 15 min of walkin the dog with not even a lick, I picked up the jig n plastic and started chunkin. Started pickin up trout, one here one there. Finally found the right spot and angle and caught several more nice fish. The bite fell off as the sun got higher and the swells got bigger. The wind was switching as I was leaving, which I'm sure will completely kill that bite. Got off the water about 8:30. Ended up with 12 total, all in that 2-3# size.
I didn't set the water on fire but it was a nice, comfortable morning. Here's a few pics.

It looks like the camps are kind of far away in that one pic. How far out were the trout this AM?

Nice job OB I went yesterday and caught a couple but when the sun came up the bite stopped. I also lost my phone in the water.

yeah, being in a boat helps alot down there sometimes... i sure wouldnt have wanted to try to land a 10 flat bottom on that beach yesterday.. breakers on the beach were big... when i was peddling in, a bunch of people came out on the upper deck of one of the camps to watch... guess they thought i would roll it.. guess i disappointed them!
