Default Vernon 8/13

Me and BoHunterbiff hit the lake once again. Got on the water about 7:30pm due to me having to work. First bite came around 8:15pm. Thunderstorms and lightning were all around us and so were the boats. Wish i had a decent camera to back up my statement. Robert hung a 3 lb bass about 9:45pm. Finished with 13 keeper crappie.

A guy caught a 10# 4oz bass a week ago night fishing Vernon. We went last Monday and had a blast catching on top water. Had our limit of 12 inchers but boated over a 100 easily.

Yup, that was my buddy David from church.....I was 50 feet away and not catchin anything but he was mopping them up. I had just got back to the boat ramp when he hooked it.

Jordan had something BIG on that started spooling him and broke off quick like. Also, have Jordan tell ya'll about the "monster" that almost took his rod in the water!!!!

Hey Jordan, good catch on the perches. There's some hogs out there in Vernon.
I'll be near the base tomorrow at the VA Clinic networking some equipment to the hospital. I see Adamsfence has his crew putting the gates up and finishing on the fence around the place.

Yes, but it was a blast. I switched to my ultra light spinning reel to make the fish feel bigger. I took my 13 yr old son and wore him out. It was our first time there. I hunt in deridder and all my hunting buddies have been after me to try the lake. My only regret is not going sooner.
