Default Lubbock TX Goose Hunt

Was able to hop aboard this trip as a last minute add on. My buddy has been going for years and I finally got to go make the trip. Man it was well worth it!

Count for 4 days was:

204 Canada's
10 Snow Geese
12 Sand Hill Cranes
10 Ducks

Many thanks to my boy Ellis and to Ruben and h2o Fowl for all his hard work!

I think we killed 2 or 3 specs the whole trip. They count as part of your dark geese limit which was 5 a day.

Not really, those baskirds roost in town (schools, next to Walmart) and are real pest. Hunts are not expensive either and you shoot them in the lips.
Made a trip in 05 with great success but make sure you bring plenty of booze since Lubbock is dry.

Oh yeh! Definitely! We shot a bunch in Mexico and they wouldn't let us bring them back with us, so they just cooked all of them for us. Them breast filets literally did look like a ribeye and were delicious. I'll take a sandhill or a tree duck over anything!

It's only dry inside of town right outside of it looks like Vegas with all the drive thru liquor stores. Ahh good ol rodeos in Lubbock and some the hottest females around at tech.

One of the owners is from Lafayette. I have made 5 or 6 trips up there and they work their butts off to put the hunters on birds. For my experiences, they really put the birds in your face, up close and personal. Great trip, espically for young hunters. Looks like ya'll had a great hunt. Congradulations.

My boss, Robby Mhire, just came back from a hunt in Lubbock. He said it was the most expensive trip he had ever made there, he bought a new truck while there.

Correction. The whole town is wet now. The strip (Vegas) is GONE
