yes they already have my deer tied to a telephone pole and have been feeding it corn, iv of roids, ect.... it is a 20,000 acre ranch so it isnt like that. i assume there may be some easy pickins at times but ive already told the guide i dont want to be brought TO a animal i want to stalk it / hunt so i wont take a shot if its some BS.

I hunt a low fence ranch around Junction, it's my expierence that not only is Axis some of the very best red meat you will eat, they are also more challenging to hunt than the other exotics, i'd recommend to get you a axis for sure.

nah, no way I can get off from work. i would be interested in going back if it turns out you like it. i should have taken a black buck last time i was in uvalde, but i was nice and let it go - neighbors high fence got knocked down and he had a few critters get loose…

also planning a big whitetail hunt for next year if you are interested. nothing definitive but looking at some place like iowa.

Oryx is some of the finest meat anywhere. It is better than prime angus filet mignon in my opinion. They were targeted for a moratorium but some ranches have special permits to hunt/transport them. They are now extinct in the wilds of Africa, being harvested for their prime meat. Texas is the only place in the world where these animals live. Prices have skyrocketed as the demand has increased. Good luck with your hunt. What ranch are you hunting on?
