How do you bypass the kill switch?

pull the cowling off...there should be 2 wires plugged into the kill switch fairly close to it....just unplug it and check to see if you have fire

Before jumping into splicing a safety feature of a boat why not check over some obvious items.
1. Is there are audible warning horn going off when you turn the key to run position?
2. With the cowl off can you hear the fuel pump prime when you turn the key to the run position?
3. Check to make sure all of your fuel lines and air hoses are connected and haven't blown off the fitting.(sounds crazy but I had my opti kill like yours once and it was only the air compressor line to the fuel rails coming loose.)
4. Check all of your onboard fuses
5. There is a website called bbcboards.net I think. There is a wealth of optimax troubleshooting knowledge in there.

Thanks for the link. No alarms, fuel pump is priming, haven't check hoses, fuses are good.

Will the engine not fire at all now?
Have you verified the vst is in fact getting fuel?
fuel bulb is firm and not collapsed
Not out of gas

He pulled plugs. They are wet, so getting fuel. Checked spark, plugs showed fire. Bulb is firm. Fuel, fire while plugs out and won't even act like it wants to start. No idea!

You might also look at your air compressor. U can pull the belt and rotate the compressor pulley to listen for any clanking.

All just shots in the dark.
Also check your kill switch like someone said. Verify all your connections are secure to kill switch

Thanks for the info. He actually changed kill switch this morning. I'll mention the compressor. Think he's about to take it to Jerry's.
