Default Hammer Spur

I recently aquired a Rossi R351 .38 Special. I traded a friend of mine a shotgun i wasn't using for this gun, anyway he hadn't taken the best care and there was a little surface rust. Atempting to hold the revolver by the barrel (unloaded) to clean the corners and such it slipped and bam perfect break where spur widens for thumb to **** hammer. I tried epoxy fail, it functions DA and i can pull hamer back SA just takes a little effort. I read silver soulider but maybe mig weld? I see the part online at a few places for $35ish but all out of stock and from what i read Rossi requires you to send gun in for repairs...

Silver solder and some careful filing should fix it right up.
