Yeah, stay home.....small craft warning till monday. Gunna have 3 foot waves at the trash pile. Welcome to the site, wish I had better news for you but it will be bad out there today. If you really gotta go I would stay in the cove or shark bayou out the wind.

Vermilion Bay-
Today
East winds 15 to 20 knots. Bay waters rough. Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Tonight
East winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters choppy. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms.
Monday
Northeast winds 10 to 15 knots. Bay waters choppy. A chance of showers and thunderstorms.

true, I tried to brave the winds out there one time. It's really dangerous out there. That bay can get up some huge waves.

Try fishing in the cuts off shark bayou. Use a gold spoon or soft plastic ith a gold spinner. But I would not go. Which would explain why I am typing this and not fishing.

You could launch in Delcambre in the Delcambre Canal and fish the mouth feeding into the bay. Forget what its called. Have caught alot of reds there and some monster drum.

Good point, the mouth of the avery would be a good spot with a east wind. If you decide to fish there fish behind the rocks facing the bay on either side.

It is a small one boat launch in delcambre west of the bridge that crosses the canal. Parking sucks...they are making a new launch, not sure when it will be done.It is about a 20 min run to the bay.

Come through Delcambre take a right on N Richard street right before bridge. Leblanc Oil will be on your left(one of my customers). Launch is right past it on left.
