Default Top Water Baits

Hey guys:

Since the river has Vermillion Bay shut down for the next while or so I'm looking to start fishing Big Lake more as I have already taken off every Friday for the next two months.

That being said, I usually don't get to the lake till mid late morning so I never worried about the top water bite. However, I want to make a few trips early to try it out and wanted to see what ya'lls favorite/successful top water batis are? My inventory of top water right now consists of one mullet-colored pup dog so any advice ya'll can give will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Daniel

I'm not gonna lie. I'm a big fan of the skitter walk. Either green or blue back grey bottom. Or chartreuse top and bottom. I just like the skitter walk. And if all else fails I grab my black wit chartreuse head she dog.

I like the bone spook jr., but I bought a clear one to try out. Back when I did nothing but freshwater fishing, I would use a clear puppy and clear torpedo. I also like the mirrorlure top dog jr. I'm not sure the name of the color, but its kind of chrome mullet looking.
