Sabine, not producing well...

BOB, scratched a week ago...

Westfork, picklefest (unless your running jugs )...

Lacassine, nothing but poor reports (mostly)...

Calcasieu, Fool caught today...

Houston River, no reports...

That is kind of a long run. Maybe should just lauch at Holbrook park.

River is ~ 20 deep up there and not much shallow water along the bank.

I havent fished Holbrook in a while, but its totally different terrain and may produce (who knows)...

You are correct though, there are some serious deep holes around some bends up there, especially the one by the blue slide...

FYI.... I passed over the Calcasieu river on 171 this afternoon and the water was not as "milky" brown as it was a couple days ago. Water is getting a little bit better in color.

I may run into you up there Fool... Looking at putting in above the power plant (cant remember the name of the launch, Anthony Ferry ?), fish my way back down to Westfork then run back up to Holbrook if things arent producing... Trying to take advantage of this nice weather and dont mind the extended boat rides !!!

Real temped to launch at Prien and run up the river but the wind is supposed to be howling again around noon...

Thanks for the suggestions guys...

Tight lines

That sucked... Reminded me why I don't fish past the little river/west fork branch. Probably could have done better in a actual boat.. This Yaking thing aint for me. The pond at holbrook claims to be stocked, but it didn't seem like it....
