Hard to tell from the pics,but the new curado looks bulkier compared to the previous model. For 40 bucks more I see shimano selling alot more chonarchs. Sweet looking reel too.

Needs a valve stem in the butt in case it gets a leak so you fill er back up!

I just ordered 2 Chrony 100d7s after seeing the new ones. I think they will hold up way better in the long run. I will try a Chrony 50 for wade fishing

you can never have to many rod and reels . . . . . . when you have to sit back and think hmmm wich setups am i going to use today then you can slow down but it never hurts to get new stuff lol so buy away buy me a 2nd one to while you at it haha

That Shimano Sellus would fit a new chrony perfectly but seems like a pretty poo quality rod

Only difference in the new Chronarchs and the D series is graphite side plates and the color. Same gears, same bearings and same weight.

The Curado G series is over a half ounce lighter than the E series. That might be because it has fewer bearings.
