Default 95 yamaha 40hp

I'm looking at buying a 1995 yamaha 40hp 3 cylinder. Has anyone had any experience with this motor pro and cons? It would be going on a 1648 alweld. Thanks

I had one for years and could not tear it up.....I put that motor through some abuse and it never missed a lick. I told my son the other day that I wish I still had that motor. I know the guy I sold it too used it for years also, until he sold his boat for a bigger one.

Ive got one on a 15/48 and absoulutely love it, the very best outboard that I have had experience with..It has never left many anywhere..knock on wood. Very good on fuel, a little cold natured but but run like a champ once warmed up.
