Hairout GoPro sinks with life jacket back door

FYI . In case you have one . I found out the hard way under 210 bridge yesterday . GoPro camera with lifejacket back door will not float with the suction cup mount on it. I just read online that apparently they warn about this . Wish I would have read it beforehand.

He had the floating back on, but once you add the suction cup it isn't buoyant anymore.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

yeh, I lost one like that to. The next one I just glued more foam on to it.

But that got old so now I just tie a string and a crab trap buoy on it. Works great and its much easier to find when it goes for a swim.
