Default Prien Lake 9-4

I got the kayak on the water late around 8:45 on the north side of the 210 bridge (nice not having to paddle all the way from the kayak launch at Prien Lake Park!). I drifted around picking up a couple dink trout here and there. I ended up trolling the ship channel drop offs and landed a nice 19" trout. I set up anchor and the very next cast was a 23" red. The way he was fighting I was expecting another even nicer trout, but I'll take it! It was on every cast for a bit with mostly undersized trout (11 7/8"), but I managed to pick up a few more keepers. I couldn't stay long and the weather was looking iffy anyway, so I started to head in around 10:30, picking up some more undersized trout as I paddled back to the truck.

It kinda makes me wish I would've dragged myself out of bed early, but I ended up with 4 trout and a red, with most of those being caught in a 10 minute span.

During that 10 min span...... did the water start to move, then stop?

The water didn't seem to stop moving, but the wind picked up some...dunno if maybe that negated the tide and shut down the bite where I was...I wasn't paying much attention, just happy to be catching fish haha.
