The feed store in Sunset rents the disk you pull behind the 4 wheeler. we have rented it a few times. Put some extra weight on it and it works great for small plots.

Thanks. Gonna rent it this weekend just to see how well it works out for us. If it works well I will rent it again when its time to plant just to turn over the soil again. Still open to any info. that anyone has on someone willing to do some plowing in that area in case it doesn't work out that well for us.

I hunt around there too. How do y'all usually do at your lease?

I have an ATV disker and it wouldn't be adequate for a 3-4 acre plot. You'll need a tractor.

I used an atv plow that worked great. We did 7 food plots total and it tore up the ground for us.

this is a buddy of mine that has a tractor looking for side work and only lives a short distance from Longville. |

Are they established food plots? We are you around Longville?

Well if its anything like ours, you better learn to bow hunt. That's when you will see the most deer.

I pretty much only bow hunt. I am planting a spring/summer food plot that should be thick during the rut because it doesn't matter much to me about having forage later in the year. I want them to be frequenting my areas during bow season in September and October.

We aren't planting until the middle of July. We are planting heavily with a seed mix that has couple different types of legumes in our mix that is heavy in Lab Lab, along with a few other types of forage seeds mixed in. Lab Lab is supposed to be able to handle heavy browsing because of its fast growth rate.
