Default VBay West Side

This board has gotten real quiet about VBay the last few weeks. Everybody must be slamming em at Cypremort.

Is anybody fishing the west side of the bay (putting in at Intracoastal and then fishing the redfish point area)? Seems that there aren't nearly as many community holes on the west side, but I'd love to know if anybody fishes that side and how they're doing. The salinity is up and the water is looking clearer than it was, but I don't like wasting my one or two fishing days a month exploring. I only get those few precious hours on the water away from the kids, so I just burn that gas and get out to the reefs at the pass. If your secretive about it, PM me. Just happy to know where people are catching.

Otherwise, guess I'll put in at Cypremort and fight the parking lot on the water with the rest of you folks.

For some reason the west side does not seem to hold as many trout. Atleast for me anyway. But if you find birds working it is worth checking out. Also the hell hole area reefs can produce trout but I have not tried latley.

I've never fished those reefs at Hell Hole. Really, I'm not sure where they are, but it seems that if I've run that far in the boat, I might as well go outside of the pass. It's only a few extra miles, and the fish are definitely there.

Yeah the most I'm catching is 10. But I'm learning too. I've never caught the cove well. But I only get to fish a weekday 1x a week. But learning is learning

Tends to be harder to find clean water on the west side. You can find pockets of decent to clean water. It's usually easier to run outside from intracoastal though. Catch em quick and get back home.

pretty sure I forgot to write down a few trips, but so far this year, 1246 specs, and 416 bass. That's not including the trips my dad took without me, which would probably add on about another 200 trout. All at the bay, summer months been better, because we were able to bring more people. All our friends get into hunting now.
