Well I guess this is the last report of the season. Hunted yesterday for the final day and all I got to show was this lonely snow goose. We worked nicely right into the deeks. Deeks are all picked up and top is on the blind. See you in October Sweetlake!

Yea the only day I sleep in and they are thick over there.

It will be nice to sleep in Saturday and relax all day, but it won't be ong before I'll be having withdrawals. Unless when I go pick up decoys and put the lids on blinds I see something special, I'm not doing any conservation hunts. The lack of snows the past few weeks just don't have me motivated. If we get a foggy morning I may slip out there for one, but other than that I'm done for the year

yeah it's just not worth all the work so i agree 100%. I read that there was an estimated 1.6 million snow geese in arkansas right now so that explains where all of ours went.

Or where ours never came from. We had some good hunts this year, but overall it was an average year. Nothing really to brag about. I haven't totaled it up but my dad said we were somewhere around 350 geese. We have had years where willed that in the second split alone. Our Klondike blind hardly killed any after the second week. Welsh was consistent but with more bad days than we cared for. Just an all around lack of birds from previous years

I was driving to Baton Rouge the other day and saw some ducks flying over when I was driving through Laccassine. Little bastards.
