coat grill with pam/olive oil to keep from sticking. Season gar fillets and throw them on the pit and baste with favorite sauce.

Really nice catch, especially since the water at butte la rose is way over 10 feet. I've always wanted to try oyster lake. is there any shallow or reefy area's at oyster lake or in the canal that leads to oyster lake?
thanks a bunch for the help! |

T- tried sending you a message but won't go thru. the duck lake you talk about is likely lake ferme located adjacent to oyster lake. oyster lake and lake ferme are attached by a small Cana which is located to the left as you enter oyster lake. lake ferme is very shallow and I would suggest going there by kayak. watch the tide carefully cause game warden told me he rescued a guy stuck in lake ferme in the mud when tide went out. to get an accurate reading for tide, find the tide at southwest pass then add 2-4 hours to it and that will approximate the tide at oyster bayou (per the game warden). let me know how you do if you try lake Ferme. thanks for your report
