I like the website idea as well. Just trying to get an idea of what it takes to maintain a site and pricing.

I would hate to see you guys leave SC and start another site, strength is in numbers and we have numbers here and you guys have your own space.

By the way as an update we now have 8 paid entries to the Yak divsion. If we could get to 15-20 I think we could call it a success.

That is something that we have been tossing back and forth. We do not want to be competition to salty. I enjoy this site. We in no way want to take members from this site. What we do want for sure is our own club.

Lafayette has one and so does the guys on the bayou. (Baton Rouge-New Orleans and anywhere in between.)
I feel like there are enough people that kayak fish around this area to start one.

What we will mainly be doing is organizing a tourney series. Some do an AOY type deal. The only step that has been taken so far is that we know we want club.
Somethings have been offered and we are looking at those options.

Other than that everything else is just ideas.

Would there be any possible way to just add it to the salty forum? Like instead of the kayak and canoe section have it called cajun kayak fishing club or something of that sort? And we could cover any xtra fees involved

I think it would be awesome to add a Saltycajun yak club to the forum/site.

I think there's defiantly enuff guys that fish from kayak and boats on here that it would be a good idea to consider besides both groups can come together for events such as the up coming tournament and it would possibly bring more attention to the SC .com site.
