Default The bumper crop!!!

[B]Folks laughed when I stuck 36 contender bush beans in the yard back in February. Right they were too cause we hadda cover them up several times for the frost. They made it however, and I just picked the bumper crop[B]

I know I said last weeks bean picking was the bumper crop, but now I aint so sure. Late yesterday afternoon I picked another big dish pan full and after rinsing them off and snapping them I got 5 fat zip lic bags full for the freezer and a mess toshare with the nieghbor. I'm gonna water them again this afternoon and wait and see. I guess they kept on making cause of the cooler weather last week. This week don't seem as cool

Cappy I see you got some of those Crawling Charlie silver dollar size weeds too. Man I'm loaded with em this year next to my beds. More than ever before.

Is it too late to plant bush beans? I have about 5-6 feet of bed space going unused right now.
Thanks....

Yea the doller weeds were kinda bad this year but what the heck in our garden boxes the soil is loose so they not hard to weed the white roots come out pretty easily. ot too late and lots of folks replant bush beans but we have enough in the freezer from 1 planting and going with okra for the hot summer crop.
