Default Tiger Shoals Trout

Launched and caught plenty of live bait, or so I thought. Still new to trout fishing and learning. Stopped at the first platform. Wasted too many live baits on hardheads and gafftops before moving. Next platform, second fish was a hefty trout. Stayed in the same spot and caught 10 hardheads per trout. Finally moved and got on trout after trout, but our live bait had been depleted. Ran back in and caught some more live bait. Mostly pogies, and a few mullet, went back out and caught a few more before we ran out of mullet again, and all the dam pogies had dies Ended up catching a few more trout on dead pogies. Ended the day with 28 solid trout and 1 pompano. Lesson learned today, if you are catching hardheads, move, the trout aren't there. 2lb average on the trout. was a great trip.

Awesome. If u can keep dem pogeys live dat makes better bait than mullet. They will eat shad when they won't eat anything else. I've seen em not touch a mullet and tear up shad in the same spot.
