Default Hydro Turf Installers

I am looking to line the top rails of my tracker targa with some black hydro turf mat. The newer ones (2015 and up) have it but to order it from the dealer was over $600.00 and I was able to get a roll of hydro turf for $130.00 now I need someone who can cut the pattern nice and straight then install them. I was thinking of maybe bed liner place or someone who does signs. The turf material comes with a 3m backing and they claim it will stick to the metal and clear coat. Just has to be cleaned well and then applied with pressure, I was thinking a rolling pan to help get it in the final place.

Any thoughts?

Hydro turf is great! I done my boat with it and it is very comfortable and skid resistant. Not sure how much detail cutting you have, but take your time and do it yourself. Rolling pin is the ticket. Just make sure it's where you want if before you roll it. Once it's stuck, it's stuck.

Do it yourself, use acetone to prep surface, use blue painters tape to lock the foam in position, then peal the backing off in small sections and stick and press.

I took the advice of my fellow salty Cajun members and installed the hydro turf myself. Came out ok. Wish I could cut better but overall I think it's going to serve its purpose.

I installed under my hatch lids for help sealing and noise reduction. I cut it all with a straight edge and razor. Used a router and cove bit to shape edges.

Couldn't post from my phone so I had to get to a lap top. The before and after pics should be attached. I ran the hydro turf along the top rails of my boat.

I bought the hydro turf from them directly. I got a roll for less than $130.00 total with shipping. I paid extra for the adhesive backing and the larger roll.

I should of said my Wife and I were able to get this installed. She actually did most of the prep work and without her I wouldn't of been able to get this done. Installing Hydro turf like we did was definitely a 2 person job.

Lancer, you'll be wanting it throughout the boat before long. That stuff really saves my feet and back because I stand the entire time.

How about cleaning? How does it hold up to the pleasure washers (car wash)? Has anyone had any issues with cleaning off blood or fish slime from it once it has been sitting in the sun for a couple of hours? I have a bad habit of when the fish are biting good, I do not clean off the boat every time I get some blood on the deck or slime, I will wait till the bite slows or even at the end of the day when I run it through the car wash.

Haven't had any issues. I always pressure wash mine. And yes, if I'm on the fish I just sling them in the boat and keep casting. No problem.

If you want it to look really sharpe go order a sea deck template kit and follow the you tube video. 6-8 week turn around time for sea deck to cut out the patterns. Go with hydro turf if you don't mind the looks.

The big problem with hydro turf is there sheet material is not wide enough. I call the folks directly and they said that large sheet is the widest made.
