Went way back on the marsh this am after slate start. I was hoping to get the best of the last bit of trout fishing before switching gears to big water. And the very last of it I got. A few micro trout, a good keeper, a swipe and a miss at the boat and that was it in three prime spots, all on a Halloween colored slap-stik (factory hook and paint job still lacking btw)
Switched to reds, going in blind as I didn't feel like burning gas looking for a big body of fish. Scattered fish most everywhere, some beautiful water in the widgeon and snot grass. And they ate aggressively on a purple/chart Terror Tail, limit at 10:30. Got breezy shortly after and headed for the barn at noon. Good times!
