Default 6/2 Big Lake

Nice morning on the water with my wife and kids. We were on the water very early this morning as we knew there would be a large number of boats out running around. We fished one spot all day, ended the day with 41 trout including 3 white trout.

For the most part even with as many boats as there were, everyone worked well together. Well everyone except for a boat with "hanky panky" on the side. Two different times they were well within casting distance of us throwing into the wind. I kept our policy of not taking pictures of boats and posting the boat on the site but it was tempting.

My oldest son Matthew (8) finished fifth in the shootout with a weight of 3.87 and my younger son Mason (5) finished tenth with a weight of 2.87. Mason's fish was dead, he caught it really early this morning. Both kids received a nice rod and reel and a gift card to Academy for finishing in the top 10. This was our first time to fish the shootout and we really enjoyed it. Raymond did an excellent job.

It was nice meeting several of you for the first time, sorry for the terrible box shot.
