Hazardous Weather Forecast
501 am cdt tue jul 6 2010 this hazardous weather outlook is for portions of the northwest gulf of mexico. .day one...today and tonight thunderstorms... Thunderstorms will be likely over the coastal waters... These thunderstorms will be capable of producing cloud to water lightning. In addition these thunderstorms will produce locally higher winds and seas. .days two through seven...wednesday through monday winds and seas... A tropical wave currently moving through the northwest caribbean sea will enter the southern gulf by tomorrow. This feature will cause increasing winds and seas over the coastal waters mid week. Mariners should continue to monitor the latest forecast if planning travel into the gulf of mexico next week. This tropical disturbance has a 30 percent or medium chance of becoming a tropical depression over the next 48 hours. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely over the coastal waters through the end of the week. .spotter information statement... Spotter activation will not be needed. |
