best recipe for electric smoker
Also dumb question, when a recipe says smoke until internal temp reaches "x" degrees, approx 5 hrs, does this mean actual smoke the whole time, or to eventually let the smoke run out and let the heat w/o smoke finish the cooking off? lets see your recipe, and want to try a recipe tomorrow. |

das da forum to look at. alot of the stuff I smoke, I usually end up wrapping in foil for the last portion of time. So, I just keep the smoke to it,until I foil. Using the time will give you a round about time to anticipate cooking, but using internal temps is the best way. Remember, low and slow. |

These folks all gave you the same advice i did in PM . It's kinda like fishing ,there's only so much info i can give ya w/o standing by your smoker drinking your beer. LOL just give it a go . keep a log of what you do each time and once you get it how YOU like it then yopu can do it every time. BTW. allways keep the exhaust vent fully open on the mes unless you are doing a preheat.
