Lord,

Please watch over Saltycajun.com's forum member "Salty" as he travels to distant places.

Please provide his family with your comfort in the loss of a family member.

Keep them all in your arms during this time of mourning.

Amen.

I'll tell you what..........it's amazing how compassionate people can be toward someone that they've never met. This is a great group of guys here. I asked my wife if she wanted to read the comments. She did and said, "God bless SaltyCajun." Thanks for your thoughts and prayers. We'll be ok on the trip. My concern is not the cold or snow....but, the "Black Ice". Southern151, having grown up in Oklahoma, can tell you all about it. Maybe we'll get lucky. Again, thanks.

I was heading west on I-40 just east of OKC in '07 when, all of a sudden, I hit a patch of "Black Ice". I spun 4 complete revolutions on the interstate before my truck came to a stop. Luckily, there were no other vehicles close by. You just don't know it's there until you hit it and the hills are the scariest.

Yeah, the black ice is a real issue up there and it sneaks up on you so fast. That is my real concern with your travels. Be safe and take your time. God bless you and your wife.

Take some gear with ya! The sac-a-lait should be ROLLIN' up there right now!!!!! BTW, we call em crappie up there for those of you who didn't know.
