Man, anywhere else you can get that apple pie shine? I had some of that a year ago on a hunting trip, and let me tell you son, that stuff is awesome. Need to get my hands on some more of it.

Several people in our area make shine. The store bought stuff ain't "shine" by any means. The flavored crap they have ain't nothing compared to the real thing either. People buy into the "moonshine" label and the crazy moonshiners show just helps move the product. Not a coincidence all this appeared around the same time.

Make your own
This is how I do it

ingredients:
1 gallon of Apple juice
1 gallon of Apple Cider
3 cups of white sugar 1 1/2 c. White 1 1/2 c. Brown
1 cup of cinnamon sugar
a few shakes of ground cinnamon
8 cinnamon sticks
1 1/5 of everclear or shine
9 quart sized mason jars
1/2 c. lemon Juice
1 Tsp all spice
and a few other secret ingredients

Steps:
mix all ingredients into big pot except for alcohol
bring to boil stirring occasionally
leave at a medium boil until sticks begin to unroll
remove from heat and let cool several hours
once cool add alcohol
pour into mason jars and refrigderate.
Bring to next social event and enjoy amongst friends

Let it sit for a few week before you drink it.
