Headknocker Switching from Aluminum to Stainless Steel Prop

I have a 25 yamaha on a 1546 express (.100 guage) with a 9 7/8 X 14F aluminum prop that has seen much better days. It's dinged up and out of shape. Just wondering if you guys that run stainless props on these smaller outboards stay with the same size prop when switching from aluminum to stainless. I like the way my current setup runs, just looking for some advice. Thanks.

Do you know which model Powertech Prop that you have? There are so many, SRA, SLR, TLR, etc. Thanks for posting up your numbers.

Is that a GPS speed? What kind of rpms are you turning?

This is running next to a Bullet bass boat not on GPS. Motor turning 5600RPM. This is a SRA I think. I will check and post. I know there are some hopped 3-Cylinder Yammys out there turning a 12-13 pitch wheel at 5600-6000RPM running in the 40's. A light boat 1544 with a 10" jack plate, with cavatation plate around 3/4"-1" above bottom of boat with a stock 3-cylinder yammy runs very well.

Here's a good prop calculator: http://www.rbbi.com/folders/prop/propcalc.htm

3 cylinder yamaha is 1.85 gear ratio. I used it on my suzuki to determine if my tach was accurate.
