Default 6/11/15 All over the place!

Today was one of those days you couldn't plan for. Duke Cravey and his wife Patty joined me on the Bluewave. Rain had us sitting at the Reel Inn until around 6:30 before we decided to go for it. First stop was in the marsh fishing gold spoons on grass lines. After the first hour the ice was still clean even after making a few moves. Just how it goes sometimes but we kept searching and we found a good school off a point of Rozos. We hooked 7 with 4 making the cut along with a few bass. With the sky turning black and hearing the rumble of thunder we looked at the radar and it was clear south so we headed toward the trout grounds. We found a slow but steady bite so we stuck around. Single and double rigs with Shrimp Creole and Ultra Violet Matrix worked real slow. Once the bite died we hit a reef about 2ft deep with Shrimp Creole under a cork. It was game on. Fish ranged from 11-18inches with about a 50/50 keeper rate. Patty also hooked into a 27 inch red that made her day. With a huge storm looming north we took it to the dock. Unfortunately Friday thru Sunday trips wanted trout and with the wind that wasn't going to happen so I'll be back out next week weather permitting.
