Default Lake Martin 1/31 Afternoon Trip

Took off with a Podna of mine this afternoon, got to the lake around 2:30. Fished all over picking up 1 or 2 here and there. We fished till dark, not to shabby for 3 hours on the water.ImageUploadedByTapatalk1422761029.732717.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1422761042.430909.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1422761054.518105.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1422761065.184290.jpg

Nice catch. Just pitching trees with creature baits or was something else the ticket?

It is supposed to be spring fed water. Water stays nice year round.

I remember reading that the spring is located somewhere out in the middle of the lake..... a little north of the boat launch and over towards the west side.

Is the lake still "over run" with nutria? Or..... has the alligator population taken care of that problem?

Spinner baits and plastics all over.. Not just around the trees.
