Default 4-30

Me and my 10 year old hit the lake after homework yesterday. Got to the ramp and the motor wouldn't start. She looked very disapointed. I told her that maybe we could get it going and still fish for a little while. Put the champ back on the trailer ran to O'rielley's and bought a new starting battery. It cranked right up. Finally got in the water around 6. Ran across the lake and hit a bayou on the east side. the tide was pouring in, and there was a lot of bait. We didn't catch a bunch of keepers, but we had action from the time we showed up, till the time we left. We both had a blast till the mosquitos showed up. Holy Mackerel! Them skeeters ain't playin! They ran us out of there during a run of each of us catching rat reds on consecutive casts. I hate to leave em biting, but there was really no other option.

Default MR Crab

You folks that live close to good saltwater fishing are lucky(yes I am jealous). Nice catch. Guess I'll just wait for the damn river to go down late this year so we can burn gas in VB.
