I was going to give those a try, is the finish pretty good on them? They look kinda like a matte finish when I picked one up the other day at Academy to look at it.

I gave my neighbor a handful of Badonk-A-Donks a month or so ago and he and a buddy killed the trout at Delacroix yeaterday afternoon from 6:00 pm til dark. He said they wouldn't touch a Mirr-o-Lure but killed the Bombers. This ain't a sales pitch....I only push the Long "A". They caught 'em at Stone and the Iron Banks in Black Bay. From what I could tell...they had some nice fish.

Did the baits have any paint left on em? Thats the only knock I hear on that bait, is that the paint is gone after 3 or 4 fish.

Most of my success with Bombers through the years have been with baits that had the paint sanded off. I really don't think the fish cares.

I dont think fisherman want to beleive that statement, that would take all the fun out of it.

You know "there only hitting the apricot colored gold flake, tangerine infused bait with red hooks"

Naw, lil buddy. The two biggest trout I ever caught were caught on a 4 1/2" - 3/8 oz. Bomber Long "A" that was nothing but a piece of clear plastic with 3 Gamakatsu trebles. Bait didn't even have eyes.

I'm just not big into the "color" thing in saltwater.
