Default Pond Fishing Bill Dance Style

Took a trip with a friend pond fishing. We only kept 30 sacs with a 10in to 14in slot. Caught and released over and under the slot and released over a 100 plus. Released all bass. Kept 14 catfish. We fished for about 3 hours. Fished a brush pile field. Every time I put a shiner in the water had a fish on. Here a few pics. More to follow.

A friends farm pond in Welsh. Just off I-10. You can't see it because of the trees. The pics don't do the pond or fish justice. There is a long island the length of the pond and 2 or 3 small islands. The brush piles are added to every couple of years with willow. We fished a brush pile field. Every time you cast into the sweet spot you had a fish on. It was rare to catch under a 10in sac. We each threw back some nice 16 inch sacs. The average was in the 12 inch range. I am going to start fishing it every other week when he is in from off shore.

We always called it goose island because the pond and the big island both look like a goose head from the air.

Bill and Shirley are really nice people. Yes the average is 12+ inches. We threw back the trophy sized ones that were 16in. When I said we caught a fish every cast on the brush piles it was no BS. Twice I hooked something that straightened my hook. Hunter says they have caught some nice bass out of it. Hey if you ever get a chance to go don't pass it up!
