Bounce Tensas NWR

Headin to Tensas in the mornin. Anybody know if the pecan trees made up there this year? We got a crew of us headin' that way for the weekend. Cain't decide between .22 cal or 12ga, not a big fan of the steel shot on a squirrel. But just in case I got 3 30pk of stones to keep it interesting.

Got a camp in Tensas, haven't been up there this year, but the area has been in an extreme drought. Squirrels gotta eat though, the little cat squirrels should be all over regardless. Watch out for rattlers

My buddy has a camp at Big Lakes camp ground, they are heading up this weekend to hunt tree rats. He's going to use my .17hmr, curious how the polymer tip will do vs the hollow point. I know the hollow point will mess one up if you dont head shot em.

I hunt Tensas regularly, or I did till last year. Can't freaking walk anymore.

I usually stay at Hunter's Bend and hunt Sharkey.

The Bayou Bowhunters usually have a bow get together for New Years. Maybe some of us could make the trip.

They stay at Gumbo Acres, I think.
