Default Lacassine pool

I know duck season is in full swing and fishing the pool is the last thing on most people's mind, but I drove around it on my way home and it's lookin right. Lots of open water the D unit looks good also and it looks real good with all the ducks that are piled in it right now.

I went after they stocked the F1 fingerlings. Them suckers were everywhere!!! They were hitting at everything you threw. I did catch one fish which was 13 inches. The bream are still there too! We caught 65 in about 1 1/2 hours on cold worms. I think it will take 3 to four years to start catching 4 -5 lb fish again.

J.E. you are one of the lucky ones. I can catch a 2 man limit of bass every time I go but 4-5 lb fish are rare lately. I have all but given up on the reserve for a few years. It also happens to be my wife's favorite fishing spot. She doesn't care that we catch 50 pickles a day she just wants to set the hook. Lol.

J.E. try a zoom 4" wacky worm in watermelon red. I use eagle claw bronze plain shank #2 hooks. Hook them through the thick belly part with no weight. Chunk it and let it sink. If you're line goes straight set the hook. I promise you will get tired of catching pickles. Big fish have been hard to come by for me lately so I won't give advice on that. I will take advice from anybody catching them though lol.
