Default 5/27 Toledo Bend Trip

My wife, kids and I made a quick trip this morning with Mr. CH (Coon) from Coon's guide service. This was my second trip with him and he once again worked his butt off for us. If you are going to fish TB, I highly recommend talking to Coon. He can do a morning or afternoon trip and he also works with Coco from our site so they can take larger groups.

The bite today was slower than our last trip but we still had plenty of action. We moved around to a couple of stops and left the fish biting on our last stop. All of the fish were caught with Shiners suspended under a cork.

2 more in the box. We had alot of fun, Coon and his wife are great people. You know he always catches fish, he was disappointed with 62, we were more than happy. I left something for you at his house.

My kids lost another 10 nice ones at the boat.

Thanks, the kids always out catch me. I blame it on having to help them, etc.. However with Coon doing all the work, I need another excuse for today.

Important thing is...did you get back to the lauch before 10:30?

Four Chickens in the pic and not one of 'em wearin' purple or gold.

I would have tried to meet up with you had I known. I had my SC fishing shirt on and I put a sticker on my new truck (white F250 King Ranch) so you guys should know it is me. You do not see to many Texas LSU Geaux Tiger plates with a salty cajun sticker.....

I hope you guys had a good trip.

Good point, I need to go get some more LSU gear.... I have been wearing alot of SC stuff lately and it is purple/gold, I thought that counted?

Middle, he lauches out of cypress bend state park. We have been staying at the Cypress Bend resort, it is a 5 minute car ride to the launch.

Coon and Chuck are good people. While I don't know Coon that well, to put up with Chuck, he has to have patience.

Just messing with ya buddy.
