Default Camping Suggestion

I'm heading down with some buddies to fish the Venice area and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a place to pitch a tent within a reasonable distance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would get a room at a marina. Less than $100 bucks a night is worth sleeping in an ac room compared to outsied in LA weather.

When are you coming down this way?

I fish the area often in spring and summer and recommend getting a room at The Delta Marina in Empire,it's reasonable distance to Venice and surrounding areas and has a nice restaurant also.

Thanks for the heads up guys. Headed down next week and will probably be down for 2 weeks or so. We are planning to stay in St. Bernard for at least part of the time and fish out that way, but would like to fish the Venice area too and hadnt lined up lodging for out that way yet. I will give some marinas a call.

Any ramps you suggest we use/avoid around Venice or the Biloxi marsh (flats boat)?

Thanks guys,

Adam

With a Flat boat most marinas would be just fine.

One I can reccomend and its the only one I've launched at down there is Campo's Marina in Shell Beach. http://www.rodnreel.com/campos/ Good guys that will help you out if needed, whether it be fishing advice or a tow in.
