yeah...at one point when we thought the rain would not stop, I looked over at my buddy and was like "*** are we doing!" But I enjoy the hell out of it regardless...I'd do it again this evening if I could.

Sulphite we did not kill our first duck until 10:30 but we did have 4 specs. A little after 10:30 it was on. Bad part was by 11:00 we had our 3 pintail and that was all that was coming in. Not as many mallards as last WED. Man I wanted to pull that trigger bad on all the pintail we had....

you would think with that big of a front coming, you wouldnt be able to keep them birds off of your pond with a stick. Of course there is water everywhere right now,so all they have to do is close their little eyes and fall out of the sky and they will fall into water somewhere.

The weather was defiantly dramatic this morning; it was a roller coaster. Windy and rainy for the boat ride, then it stopped, then mosquitoes actually came out for a bit. Then it rained, then it stopped, then the fog rolled in, then it went away; and finally the front blew through with sideways rain for almost an hour. At one point all three of us were not even looking for ducks, just trying to stay dry. I was so cold and wet at one point I was telling Sulphite to blow his calls because I didn’t want to move.

All that being said I had a blast, killed some ducks, didn’t get hypothermia, or break anything.

BTW There was prob only 5-10 minutes between the first and second pic.

Good Luck to all this weekend, and be safe.
