Default Direct Buy showroom

Any of you ever use Direct Buy showroom to purchase things for your home? I am getting a lot of calls from them wanting me and the mrs. to come in for a preview. I may be building a house within a year so was wondering if it is worth joining or not???

Any info would be helpful.

TIA,

Latt

I have it but haven't used it yet. I know some floors I was looking at were 6$ less than other floor stores were offering. As in 1.99 compared to 8.00 per square foot. U will save a lot by buying floors, cabenets and counter tops. Pm me and I'll give you some more info!

Not worth it, I find better deals on high end construction materials by doin research and being willing to travel . For example the house I'm building right now I let a local granite fabricator bid my job, 28,000.00. I traveled to a place that new construction is dead in their bid 13,000.00. I have 3 job built custom marble showers in this house, marble I used price in BR $12-22/ sqft for 24x24x1" tiles , I bought 2 plane tix selected stone for showers n floors ,had it shipped to BR cheaper than if I would have bought it here. So what I'm getting at , spend your 5k elsewhere just do your homework

If u buy enough it is well worth it. I'm only 27. In my life time I will save well over that 5k. There are way to many smart arses in here. Until you have done it yourself, keep ur opinions to ur self because they are worthless. I know that new math confuses some people but, 2$ floor vs 8$ floor. The exact same floor from the exact same company. Let me know if I'm wrong, but isn't that a 75% savings. So, if I'm putting wood floors through out my 2500sqft house that it isn't hard to see where the savings are($5k or $20k.) know the facts!

The shipping and other "fees" are the rip off. Lots of issues with warranties, lots of contractors won't install the materials etc. List goes on.
Good luck to u. Buyer beware....

Please tell me why a contractor won't install the materials?? It's the same stuff you can get at lowes and everywhere else. Shipping is lower than anywhere else and there isn't any other fees.

You can buy flooring at Lumber Liquidators for $1.99. Why pay to join this scam?

Assumed Liability which makes contractor make the product good and wait for reimbursement from mfg if there is a defect. Not trying to be a smart azz but cutting out your contractor will not endere him to you. We all have to make a profit or we go out of business, how much profit is determined by the quality of our work. I don't want a house built by the friendly folks at Walmart Contracting LLC but there are plenty of folks who would and ***** and moan about the workmanship after the fact.

Dude.... Do u work for direct buy??? Lol

If Ur looking and desperate for a deal ...... Ur mind will make any bag of poop look like a deal.
Were giving u facts and customer reviews.
ESP when pox gives an answer/ opinion.... He builds top notch custom homes.
My dad is in the home buidling industy.... 40 years.
He has said the same stuff about issues of warranty, install.
Direct buy is set up to wow you with low prices & massive stores.
The sales crew is overly pushy & ignorant to say the least!!!
If I'm gonna buy building materials I'm going to get a contractor to help..... Not some kid in a shirt & slacks who needs a commission......
