Default Accidentally Caught a Fish

took the boat out for a test run sunday afternoon, brought some fishing poles just in case, put down at the port ran all the way to the bay, water was calm so we rode some more, broke out a fishing pole with a YMB jig head, put the chartreuse swimming mullet and began working the bank between the port and the avery, on the third or fourth cast i casted and thought i was hung up for a second till it started swimming away, it wasn't fighting fast but it was fighting strong, and my string was moving different than i have ever seen before, it was swerving through the water, when i was able to get it up to the surface i notice that the YMB jig head was hooked just in front of the fin by the tail, after fighting the monster for a while and calling Jeremy Wade out, we were able to grab her by the tail with some pliars and pick her up enough to put a .45 in her head we threw her in the boat, fish a little more but nothing so we headed home to clean the beast, oh and by the way it was caught on 20lb test with a zebco 888, about 5-1/2 foot long and weighed it at Dagos 73lbs

i apoligize i know it is kind of a long post for just one fish, but i had fun reeling that thing in, and it is the first time in a long while that i was able to get on the water

Judging by the pool of blood on the boat floor I would say its got a pretty nasty exit wound from that .45. Fighting a big fish and getting to bust some caps at the same time...that sounds like a blast!(no pun intended) Good job

Hell yea man! Thos big suckers are fun. You need to change up your signature a little now. "Straight thuggin da bay strapd to de max."

A buddy of mine caught a massive one for a tournament 2 years ago. We sure could have used that 45 to get it in the boat. We ended up losing it and that sucker would have taken trash fish for sure!
