BL Super Bowl Sun
Got on the water at about 10. Was a little bumpy. Tried to get on a mirrodine bite but couldn't fish the spots that I wanted to, very well, with that wind. Gave that up with only one in the box. Did a little cruising around and soon found bait bustin. Found some schoolies on a tide line. Didn't take long after that. Limit by 1:00.
Interesting note, these trout were spitting up shrimp. My impression is that trout were on finfish this time of year. Maybe this mild winter has changed things up a bit. Maybe some more experienced guys can comment on their experiences and what they are seeing, in that regard. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1486393408.824157.jpg Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

On sabine we were still catching some fish on shrimp also. Most recent trip found more on mullet.

What kind of area might be that producing a mirrodine bite?

Both shallow flats and reefs.

Cool thanks. I figured as such, just wanted to confirm.
Edit: What is shallow to you? To me in Terrebonne parish, shallow is 1-2 feet |

To me, shallow means, you can wade it.

Nice job Bobo! I always heard no shrimp were around in the winter too... read an article on another website a few days ago by a guide from the east side of the state saying the same thing.
