Default A different look at the drought

MSNBC is reporting that gas prices are expected to rise drastically over the next few weeks.............wait for it...................due to the extreme drought affecting our nations farmers! So Mr. Obama, how's that subsidized ETHANOL plan working for your clean energy plan now! Let's see we pay the farmers to plant corn, force our refineries to buy ethanol to meet EPA mandate, and shut down conventional drilling at every turn they can. What a great plan!!!!!

Look for everything to increase due to the drought/Ethanol from bread, milk, ground round. Not to worry though, those wit da EBT card will never feel the effects. Farm report last week had wheat up 45%, corn up 18% and beans up 22%. Said feed lots were losing $200.00 for each cow they were holding due to feed prices. We are fast approaching Critical Mass on the financial front. Ernst and Young just released a paper
critical of Taxmageddon; 700,000 jobs will be lost in 2013 if the Demorats Raise Taxes Jan 1st 2013. Remember; You DID NOT BUILD THAT BUSINESS!!

Excerpt from Daily Adversiter article on welfare waste, "Philadelphia resident Lisa Crawford, who receives $375 a month in benefits for herself and her 11-year-old son, said using public assistance at strip clubs and liquor stores is "abusive." But otherwise, she said, "I think you should be accountable for your living situation and should be able to buy what you want as long as your main bills are taken care of."
This is where our country is going, makes me sick. http://www.theadvertiser.com/viewart...playing-system

EBT = Taking from those who can and do vs. those who could and won't

The founding American value of living independent has been lost for a large portion of today's society.
This living dependent value for most was instilled in the home or lack there of.

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.*

** * * Thomas Jefferson

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.*

No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms.*

"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government. "

Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy)

A system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society least likely to sustain themselves or succeed, are rewarded with goods and services paid for by the confiscated wealth of a diminishing number of producers.

Is the drought bad in LA? There are a lot of farmers here in Indiana that are already cutting their corn for silage is just plowing it under. There are still a lot of bean fields that look good, but most of the corn is toast.

A piece of my dad's place cut 187 bushells to the ac last year and they believe the total corn crop this year will cut 200 b/a. This will be his biggest check every which is great for him but we all will be paying him for his crop unfortunately.

This year most of Louisiana is above normal rain fall. We started getting good rain fall back 6 (?) months ago.

The 2 years before that were very dry for us.

Irrigation has solved the rain problem for most farmers.
