Default IPilot Problem

Went fishing this weekend. Launched the IPilot and it would not come on. When I would push the test battery button it showed full charge but neither the green light or red light would come on. Used it two weeks ago without any issues. I have a tournament we are fishing on Friday and really need my trolling motor. Any ideas of what might be going on?

Also check the inside connections on your plug and outlet.

My dad's buddy has one and he has issues every other trip... It would upset me if I pay that kind of $ and it doesn't work every trip...

Keep a spare remote battery handy. I went out last weekend and discovered the battery on the remote was dead. The trolling motor is only 3 months new. No wireless remote and no trolling.

Make sure you have the right battery to! C2450N or C2540N I'll check in the morning.
Its a thick battery. The thin ones aren't the right kind. It has to have both letters

I keep 2 in the boat

It ended up being the board that went out. Thankfully it was covered under warranty. The only cost to me was the 90$ overnight shipping because I needed fixed before tomorrow because of a tournament I'm fishing on Friday.

Default sold my iPilot

Just sold my iPilot so I would be able to buy the "new and improved" version of the self-deploying Ulterra that is supposed to be coming out "soon". At my age, I found the deployment of the iPilot sorta awkward and when picking it up to stow, I often almost fell overboard if there was a pretty decent chop. The new version is supposed to have an improved Spotlock and also has a jogging feature that should be useful. From what I hear, the Spotlock improvement is going to be handled by having an additional gps receiver that will mount elsewhere in the boat. I don't know if it will be wireless or wired back to the tm itself.

BTW, if anyone who has an iPilot (or Ulterra) and wants a way to prevent the nose of the tm mount from sticking out over the bow when launching and picking up your boat, I found a solution to that problem.

Loosen a screw (big plastic head) and slide the mount forward or backward (forward to fish, backward to trailer). There are also holes in the mounts you can line up and run a padlock or trailer lock through.

my good friend had two (new one on old boat and new one on new boat, they worked great the first 2 times out and then the same thing happened, full battery light and unit would not respond, it worked after changing the inline fuse then stopped after 20 min, I would think maybe putting this on an actual circuit breaker rather than the whimpy glass fuse it comes with ......... just a suggestion.

A buddy of mine just had the same issue. Brought it to Superior Trolling Motor in Lafayette and it ended up being a faulty control board. Since the trolling motor was under 2 years old, they made the fix free of charge. Not positive if this is your problem but definitely something to look into.

Not sure what mount you're talking about, but the only sliding ones I've found are the MK 47 which is not really a sliding mount, but more a removable mount; the Slide Maxx that the company is very proud of in that the price (for the new model) is supposed to be between $275 and $290 (according to the company rep who I communicated with recently) and the one from R&R Design which is $150+ shipping of about $20. Guess which one I ordered? BTW, it's also the one Skeeter mounts on their new boats when ordered.

I had the TM installed on the boat when I bought it, I assume the mount is a Minn Kota. It is removable (therefore the padlock holes) and can be adjusted to two different spots. I don't know a model number, sorry.
