Default Youth shotguns

Getting my 8 year old son a 20 gauge. Was thinking Remington 870 youth, but I figured I would check with yall first.

Got a Mossberg 500 youth for like $229 at Wally World, sweet little gun. I really like the safety position compared to the Remington. However the Remington is really nice as well.

Bring him by the house and he can shoulder the 20ga 870 youth model I just won the other night. It will give you some idea of what fits him. You can add up to a full inch to the length of pull.

EAR PLUGs!!!!

most kids can take the kick.....the noise can hurt those young ears. Particularly if he had tubes........

Sounds good maybe one day next week or so I'll pm you to see if you around. We are busy this weekend, but I'm in no rush to get it he is still simi-punished for grades.

He had tubes put in three seperate times so I guess thats something I should make sure of. My pawpaw didn't do this for me, but I can hear so maybe that says something.

I hope everyone understands I am not preaching. It's bad that I can't hear my kids, the tv or, my wife(the last one may be selective). I can't hear the phone. Many high pitch sounds elude me and I'm only 32. Cover em up. They will thank you down the line!

Mine shot a buddy's 870 but I ended up buying the mossy youth 500. We found it a little lighter and easier to handle. But jeez, those things are loud with the short barrels!
