Pox, ASR and, W, I appreciate it. We picked up another family today and, found out that our first one has already been sponsored so, it's back to the drawing board for a day or two.

Our family picked up today is a single mom with two young daughters and, her husband walked out and left them. From my understanding, he hasn't lifted a finger to help with his kids since he departed either. I feel this family is a good pick.

I will name the other forum Smoking Meat forums. A few of us are members there. I am a moderator there and they asked about helping this year. I posted it a week ago and so far we have a couple of donations. SMF does their own Christmas deal .
But some members have elected to help us also.

Yes, I did. Was pretty busy today and, forgot all about it. I will get with you soon on that. Gotta try to find some way of transport in, potentially, two different directions.

Corey, I'm assuming the wife is taking care of our end. I'm busy between work and remodeling a house we bought that we're not living in! Put me down for $100.

Our $100 is already in the total as well as $100 from your Triangle Electric.. we're hanging on to it, less to transfer when its time to shop.

I believe we've found our second family. A local family of 6 (4 kids), lost everything in a house fire this weekend.

Still waiting on a few donations to come through and, hoping for more before Dec. 14th. I still need to make it to BR to get with a donor. Been tied up with work lately though.

This Just in!! FYI!
Anyone who has made or does make a donation to the S.C. Christmas fund by the deadline ( Dec 14th )will have their name put in a hat for drawing for guided trip for 2 in the Lake p / hope dale area. (Guides choice depending on conditions.)
Called Capt Henry Poirier of Trophy Trout charters and he has graciously donated a trip for 2. Only stipulation is ,the trip must be taken on a weekday. (Mon - Thur). So for all who have not donated yet , Time is getting short.
Capt Henry is one of the few guides that still trolls the bridges of lake Pontchartrain for trophy trout . To see some of his catch's check him out here .
www.facebook.com/TrophyTroutCharters .
If you are interested in a guided trip in the lake Pontchartrain or Hopedale area please contact him. Thanks for everyone's support.

As of right now, we have $2020 raised, plus $100 in gas cards and, a $50 gift card to Logan's Roadhouse. Very impressive!

We will be accepting donations through Saturday, 12/14/13.

We have two families. One family is a mother struggling to raise two kids on her own after her husband decided that he didn't want to be a husband or father any longer and, walked away like nothing ever happened.

The second family is a family of 6(Mom, Dad and, 4 kids). They recently lost everything they own in a house fire and, could sure use the help right now.

Thanks for the help, ladies and, gentlemen!
