Non-ethanol gas

Mixing the 2 will not create an issue in and of itself.
If non ethanol gas is close by, I'll buy it. I won't go way out of my way just to have non ethanol. |

I always fill up at the Stop 92 in youngsville. Have never put ethanol gas in my boat.
Also, I have been told that the shelf life of gasoline is very short and running old gas is not good for a boat motor. |

Not the answer to your question but make sure you put Stabil or some sort of stabilizer in it also.

if gas is ethanol free the shelf life is alot longer because it doesnt attract water like ethanol added gas

I have a 250 gallon tank of ethanol free gas at my house for the farm. I refill it about every six months and have never had any issues

It won't hurt. If you run the boat a lot, they may not be necessary though. BUT, some stations that advertise no ethanol, does have it in it.

I have never put ethanol in my motor and I will try not to. But I have the convenience of a ethanol free station near my house.

I strictly run ethanol free fuel in my rig now. My old 2 stroke would cough and sputter when I ran ethanol blended fuel through it. It stopped sputtering when I stopped using fuel with ethanol. My new rig hasn't had a drop of ethanol in the tank yet...hope to keep it that way. I have a new 4 stroke now and I know the ethanol isnt as big of an issue now as with older outboards, but I figure if I can put 100% gasoline in my rig, then I might as well. It also helps to keep water out of your tank if you plan on letting your boat sit for a long time. Ethanol draws in moisture and could potentially make your fuel tank more prone to getting water in it if it sits in a humid environment for an extended period of time.

Ethanol fuel is not good for any motor, especially an outboard! I dont care what anyone says.

I was using gas with ethanol + stabilizer (thinking it would be ok) and it still gummed up my carbs. I will only be using non-ethanol from now on! I can think of a lot better things to do with the $375.00 i spent to have them fixed.
