I'm thinking the migration patterns are changing.....have noticed this over several years and it seems every year more and more bluewings around....and less and less mallards.....anybody else?

We hunt north of Welsh and normally the bluewings are gone by Mid November. And the Teal we do get after that are migratory greenwings passing through to the marsh.....We'll have em for a day or maybe 2 after a front pushes through and then they are gone too. But considering the snow cover reaching into northern Missouri and the cold temperatures reaching well into Arkansas, I would have thought the bluewings would be in Mexico sippin Margarita's and the greenwings would be here...but it appears that the greenwings haven't gotten here yet...who knows!?!

I bet 95% of the teal we shot this year are green wing. I do not think we shot a blue wing after the first 3-4 days of the season.

Found a pot hole deep in the back swamps of a freinds land. The opening of is about 20 yards across and 10 wide. There was at least fifty green heads and probably 150 wood ducks stacked on top of each other.Should be a good morning saturday.Hopefully ill finally kill a duck this season,And my dog will have one to pick up.
