Default transporting rods

for those of you that have bay boats do yall leave your rods in the rod holders on the console while trailoring......i have always taken mine down and put in the bottom of the boat. but it scratches my reels bad. Just wondering if yall ever loose any rods by leaving them in the holders

I usually leave mine in the rod holders standing up. I put mine in the back of the truck when I went to toledo bend last weekend and scratched the mess out of my reels. Wont do that again without covers on them.

I'm about to make a few "SpecDaddy Dandy Rod Holders" for myself. Stop by my office and I can show you the drawings of them. When I had a bay boat I did snap 2 tips and left one hanging from the drive thru at a Wendys. Now I just stow them in my rod boxes but was never a fan of leaving them in the boat on the floor or in the rod holders

Wish I had rod boxes. The storage on my fishmaster sucks.

You got to worry about low hanging tree branches too, know a guy that lost a couple by the tip of the rod hanging up in trees and never seeing them again.

So do mine,i'm afraid a rock may hit one of my Waterloo's and break it in two riding in the boat's rod holders.

The only problem I ever had carrying them in the rod holders was a hook coming loose and making all of the rods a tangled mess.
