Been busy but I think it would be a good thing if I rewarded myself and took Thursday morning off to survey the beach. Of course, I would make it in to the office for 1:00 to prepare for appointments on Thursday in Lafayette.
PM me if you want to meet up on the beach.

I will probably start out at Mae's beach (Martin Beach) then work my way back towards Holly Beach. I will be in a white chevy duramax Z71 with a Salty Cajun sticker on the back glass.

Hey guys been away from the computer, but last wednesday a buddy and me went to rutherford and caught 14 specks and 2 reds.... We caught all our fish in the first hour then the tide switched the water turned milky and that was it. No more bites at all... Hope this helps

Thanks! Been wondering bout Rutherford. Its only about 40 min from my duck lease. Been thinking about making teal hunt then running down there to check it out, never been.

We've gone a few times and never done that well only catching 3 to 4. That day though when we got there the water was gorgeous and there was bait everywhere. We finally were able to catch the right conditions but we got there a lil late from partying so much the night before.

Very deep, loose sand when you leave the road onto the Mae's beach......get a good running start!!!

Default Went this morning

Hit the rocks between Holly Beach and J.B. Water is still murky, but calm with some
1 ft. swells from the South rolling in. Caught and kept 3 small dink Specks, lost one
pretty nice one and released a buttload of pickle sized trout early this morning. They
were in the washed out area along the waterline. Caught the pickles on Spook Jr's.
and the keepers on Opening Night Deadly Dudley's. Moved to the East end of the rocks
closer to Holly Beach and saw a lot of finger mullet along the edge of the water, but
nothing at the rocks. Water lot more muddy to the East. Didn't stay long. Brought
the dinks home, filleted them and my wife and I ate them for lunch.
Dusted the fillets with Old Bay seasoning and black pepper. Dusted with cracker
meal and pan fried them in olive oil butter. Talk about good. If I would have caught
15 trout, I think we would have eaten 30 fillets.
